Spotters reported widespread snowfall amounts ranging from 4.5 to 5.0 inches, followed by ice accretion from 1/10 to 1/4 inch.

An intensifying low pressure system taking shape over the lower Mississippi Valley the morning of Saturday the 14th moved to a position south of Long Island by the morning of the 15th, bringing heavy snow and some freezing rain to parts of Northeast New Jersey.
