Z-21 Coop reported a two day snow total of 14.3 inches. Z-21 Hoonah reported 4.7 of new snow at 11/0805 am.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure with an associated frontal system in the Gulf was assisted by a large stream of tropical moisture which moved over the Panhandle. An upper level trof dropping in from the north brought cold air caused heavy snow, significant winds and for the Klondike Highway a blizzard with low visibility.
