Wider weather episode

Light freezing rain glazed the roads across parts of north central and northeast South Dakota during the mid afternoon hours. Due to slick roads, there was a two car and one semi accident six miles west of Mina on Highway 12 in eastern Edmunds County. The first car spun out on the ice and was hit by the semi. The second car swerved to avoid the crash but was still struck by the semi. Two people died along with one minor injury as a result of the accident.
