Snowfall amounts across the zone ranged from two to three inches with 2.9 inches reported in the city of Lewiston.

A cold and conditionally unstable air mass had become established across the Inland Northwest as a cold upper-level trough anchored over the region. A low pressure system tracked across northern Oregon spreading a band of moderate snow within a deformation axis across the lower Idaho Panhandle. As the low pressure system departed to the east, northwest flow in its wake led to numerous snow showers across the rising terrain of the Camas Prairie.
