Highway department personnel reported 3 trees down along roads off of Highway 19E between the town of Roan Mountain and NC state line 2 miles east of Roan Mountain.

High non-thunderstorm wind developed over the area. The strongest wind were reported over the higher elevations. The highest wind reached 90 mph at Cove Mountain. Downed trees were the main reports.
