Trina at Petersburg reported 1.5 since 5 am. 4 1/2 total. 19/1145 am with an additional 1/4 of snow and very light. Another spotter reported 7 inches storm total.

Wider weather episode

A 993 MB gale force triple point low moved into the central Gulf of Alaska on the morning of the 19th forcing warm moist air over cold air at the surface in the Panhandle. This system brought heavy snow to much of SE Alaska including the northern Panhandle, Yakutat, and Hyder.
