A thunderstorm produced a wind gust of 34 knots (39 mph) at Ship John Shoal Light in Upper Delaware Bay.
The wider storm
An approaching cold front triggered a line of strong thunderstorms that moved through the southern New Jersey, Delaware Bay and Delaware coastal waters and produced several wind gusts of around 35 knots (40 mph).
