Heavy rainfall resulted in a debris flow which closed Highway 145 south of Telluride for several hours.

Wider weather episode

A moist southwest monsoonal flow continued to bring thunderstorms with heavy rainfall to portions of southwest Colorado in mid July. Runoff from the rainfall produced debris flows over several area highways.
