Event narrative

Although snow amounts were only in the 1 to 3 inch range roadways became very difficult after sunset with several accidents in the Idaho Falls area. One crash on interstate 15 north of the Dad's truck stop in Idaho falls caused a fatality.

Wider weather episode

Several traffic accidents occurred on February 3rd with one fatality on interstate 15 and heavy snow fell in the Upper Snake River Highlands. Several roads closed the evening of the 3rd including parts of interstate 15, US Route 20 and State Highway 87.
