An amateur radio operator in Charlestown measured a wind gust of 49 mph with their home weather station.
Wider weather episode
A warm front moved northward into southern New England bringing warm air and unstable air into the region. Showers and a few thunderstorms developed as a cold front moved into the unstable air, particularly over the waters.
