The Weatherflow mesonet site at Chatham recorded a wind gust of 40 mph.

Wider weather episode

A warm front moved northward into southern New England bringing warm air and unstable air into the region. Showers and a few thunderstorms developed as a cold front moved into the unstable air, particularly over the waters.
