A wind gust to 68 mph was measured at the Big Piney Airport.
Wider weather episode
A cold front brought strong winds to portions of the area. The combination of these gradient winds and weak evening convection generated wind gusts at or above 60 mph. The highest wind gusts included 68 mph at Big Piney Airport and 60 mph at Red Canyon in the Lander Foothills.
