Event narrative
There are limited reports during this event, but based on reports of 4 inches in Parkdale and 9 inches in BZ Corner, and early reports of 1 to 2 inches of snow in the Gorge and Hood River at the beginning event, estimate that 4 to 9 inches of new snow fell. There were also intermittent closures of Interstate 84 due to snow and icy roads.
Wider weather episode
A frontal system brought snow and ice to Northwest Oregon February 7th and 8th after a previous storm produced widespread heavy snow across the area on February 6th.
