Snowfall amounts of 6 inches were reported across the area.

A surge of Pacific moisture along with an upper low brought heavy snow to portions of the Billings Forecast Area. In addition, a surface low across the Dakotas resulted in tight pressure gradients, strong winds and blizzard conditions to portions of far Southeast Montana.
