A Pacific frontal system and cold air over western Washington resulted in 3 to 7 inches of snow, according to numerous reports from trained spotters.

Wider weather episode

Heavy snow fell over the lowlands of portions of the Southwest Interior, Tacoma Area, and the southern part of the East Puget Sound Lowlands zones. Snowfall ranged generally from 3 to 7 inches.
