A moderate weather front moved into the western Aleutians Wednesday, elongating north and east slowly weakening Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Brisk southeast winds preceded the front. Gusts reached 63 mph at Shemya, along the extreme western Aleutians, Wednesday afternoon.
