A moderate to strong front, moving across the eastern Aleutians toward the southwest Alaskan Coast, was preceded by strong easterly winds in many areas.Wind gusts reached 62 mph at the Dutch Harbor Spit around 6 pm Saturday, just prior to the frontal passage.Across the Alaska Peninsula, southeast wind gusts reached 60 mph around Cold Bay and Port Heiden as the front passed northeastward late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Across the southwest Alaskan Coast, wind gusts reached 66 mph along the western Capes of Bristol Bay and into the Kuskokwim Bay.
