Easterly circulation around a large storm in the eastern Aleutians reached the Tanana valley around Delta Junction. The wind at Delta Junction picked up as a lee side surface trough formed just north of the Alaska range...then diminished as the trough weakened and moved north. Highest wind at Delta Junction ASOS was 33 mph sustained, gust to 44 mph.
