A small low pressure center formed over Kotzebue sound, and interacted with high pressure over the arctic basin to cause intermittent blizzard conditions and several hours of high wind at only Point Lay. The winds and blizzard let up as the low pressure center dissipated. Highest winds obseved at Point Lay AWOS: 40 mph sustained, gus 46 mph.
