Event narrative

A vigorous storm system moved across the area causing periods of heavy snow in the southwest mountains, as well as some severe thunderstorms over the eastern plains of southern Colorado. In Mineral county, 10 to 15 inches of snow fell around 10 miles southwest of Creede, while 14 inches of snow accumulated at Wolf Creek Pass.
