The wider storm
A lee side trough of low pressure formed just north of the Alaska Range during the late morning, briefly bringing high winds to Delta Junction. The winds diminished as the trough weakened. Highest wind at Delta Junction ASOS: sustained 35 mph, gust 48 mph.
