High winds following a cold front caused a number of problems during the afternoon. Numerous trees and power lines were downed and several thousand people were without power. Light structural damage occurred and streets were blocked. The winds also contributed to 35 fires in the Upstate. A roof was blown off a baseball dugout in Gaffney.
