An intense low lifted through New York state to southern Quebec province producing strong onshore southeast winds across Downeast Maine. The storm produced sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with some gusts in excess of 60 mph. The strongest winds generally occurred near the immediate coast. The strong winds brought down branches and toppled several trees which contributed to scattered power outages across the region.
