Strong pre-frontal winds and widely scattered thunderstorms caused high winds to develop across portions of the Northeast Plains. Peak wind gusts included: 75 mph (65 kts) at Louisville and Merino, 69 mph (60 kts) at Fort Morgan, 61 mph (53 kts) at Padroni, 60 mph (52 kts) at Sedgwick and Sterling, 59 mph (51 kts ) at Woodrow and 58 mph (50 kts) at Crook.
