Eight to foruteen inches of rain fell across Okaloosa County during the evening of April 29th and the early morning of April 30th. The rain resulted in widespread flash flooding across the county. 737 homes were damaged by flood waters. Numerous roads were impassable during the event, with several damaged or compromised by the fast moving flood waters.

A strong storm system brought record flooding along with severe thunderstorms that produced damaging winds and tornadoes to the region.
