Widespread hail ranging from pea to dime-sized damaged crops within the Walla Walla valley. Hardest hit were apple orchards, where an estimated 12,000 bins of apples were lost. This hail, which in some parts of the valley turned the ground white, also hurt some alfalfa and asparagus crops.
