Seven workers were injured at a construction site when high winds knocked over roof trusses.

Seven construction workers were injured, none seriously, when winds blew over more than two dozen roof trusses at a new apartment construction site in Davenport According to a newspaper account, the seven men were either on top of the trusses or along the side when they collapsed. Observations near the time of the accident indicated winds were between 20 and 30 mph. The peak wind gust at the Davenport Airport during the afternoon was 36 mph.
