Event narrative

A late season snowstorm brought very heavy amounts of snow to the Blue Mountains at elevations above 4000 feet. 18 inches of wet snow fell over 24 hours at Tollgate (5200 feet) and 12 inches fell at another location 4 miles west (4300 feet). State Highway 204 was closed for several hours as road crews cleared downed trees.
