Extremely dry condition and combined with wind caused a controlled-burn grass fire to spread in the village, destroying three homes. The fire damaged less than a quarter of an acre of land and came under control before spreading to the nearby woods.Injuries: one person: burns. eight persons: smoke inhalation.
