What F0 means. This tornado was rated on Fujita’s original scale, used until 2007. F0 meant light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken; the scale paired it with winds of 40–72 mph, figures later judged too high, especially toward the top of the scale, and revised downward in the Enhanced Fujita scale. Ratings then, as now, came from the damage.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A National Weather Service storm survey team confirmed that a F0 tornado touched down briefly on a farmer's home at the intersection of FM2925 and Jaurez Road. Moderate damage to the property's roof and back fence occurred. A cyclonic pattern was observed in the debris field. Shingles from the roof were strewn into the canopy of the trees in the front yard.

Began near Rio Hondo (26.2333, -97.5167).
