Event narrative

An uncharacteristically strong early summer storm brough heavy rain and strong gusty wind to Southwestern washington. Downed trees snapped power lines to a power station at Gorley Springs. In Wahkiakum County, Skamakowa Creek, Fossil Creek, and Grays River rose out of their banks.
