Event narrative

Prefrontal southeast winds gusted to 68 mph at the Dutch Harbor Spit early Monday in advance of a moderate, eastward moving front. Wind gusts of 60 mph or more were recorded from 9:30 pm ADT Sunday to 6:30 am Monday. As the front began to weaken, winds began to slowly diminish. Frontal passage occurred around noon Monday.
