Thunderstorm wind gusts 50 to 60 mph blew down 50 foot-tall pine tree onto two men at Echo Lake near Bigfork in Flathead County. 59 year old man died from the accident, and his son received injuries to his shoulder. Thunderstorm winds caused damage from Bigfork to Columbia Falls, where two cars were hit by falling trees and power lines were brought down by 50 to 60 mph wind gusts.
