Event narrative

Pre-frontal winds reached 67 mph near the entrance to Prince William Sound early Saturday, as a vigorous front moved onto the central North Gulf Coast Saturday afternoon from the Gulf of Alaska. At 9:08 am ADT, a Davis system at the Cordova Prince William Sound Science Center recorded a wind gust of 59 mph, the highest of the day and just before frontal passage.
