A moderate 994 mb low in the extreme southeast Bering Sea , located 90 miles northeast of Saint George Island at 4 am ADT Thursday, weakened and moved southeast toward Sand Point as the day progressed. By 10 pm ADT Thursday, the low had weakened to 1002 mbs and was located 120 miles southeast of Chignik...continuing southeast thereafter. Strong pressure rises followed the low.Wind gusts at the Dutch Harbor Spit peaked at 78 mph between 3 and 3:30 pm ADT Thursday.
