A large Pacific Storm intensified in the southern Gulf of Alaska and traveled up along the outer coast of the Panhandle. Peak winds associated with this storm included 63 mph at Cape Spencer, 48 mph at Sitka and Wrangell, 56 mph at Cape Decision, 61 mph at Hydaberg Seaplane Base, 69 mph at Ketchikan, 60 mph at Juneau, and 82 mph at Eagle Crest.
