Some areas in the central and northern inner channels of Southeast Alaska received heavy snow as a low pressure system in the Gulf of Alaska spread warm moist air over a shallow arctic airmass. Storm totals included 10 inches at Port Alexander, 8 inches in Wrangell, and 13 inches in Haines.
