Event narrative

A moderate front passing north northwest across the Anchorage Hillside brought southeast wind gusts to 72 mph across several populated areas of the Upper Anchorage Hillside. At the remote abandoned Nike Site (3900+ ft), wind gusts reached 128 mph at noon...diminishing rapidly after 1pm. The front was accompanied by strong pressure rises as it passed.
