Strong high pressure north of Hawaii generated sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph, with some gusts to as high as 50 mph, in the saddle, downslope sections, and in the Maalaea Bay area of West Maui and in leeward parts of Kohala on the Island of Hawaii. No significant property damage or injuries were reported.
