A 2-year-old boy died of heat stroke. He had a temperature of 108 degrees when he reached the hospital. He was left on the floor of a sunroom and his mother had fallen asleep. He had cerebral palsy and epilepsy and was mentally retarded. A 72-year-old woman also died of heat stroke. Although air conditioning was available in her home, she had not turned it on.
