Moderate southeast flow ahead of a strengthening Low in the central Bering Sea brought a variety of Winter Weather to Northern Alaska on the 9th through 11th, along with strong south winds across the western Alaska Range. In addition, colld air moved west over the North Slope, causing an increasing pressure gradient to the already present easterly winds, resulting in blizzard conditions across the Arctic Slope Coastal on the 10th.High Wind occurred at : Tanana Valley - Healy: 35 mph sustained, gust 63 mph.Freezing Rain occurred at:Zone 3: KotzebueZone 4: BettlesZone 5: TananaZone 7: West Chena Ridge Co-operative Observer reported glaze.Zone 8: Nulato and Galena Cooperative Observers reported freezing rain, Kaltag ASOS reported freezing rain.Heavy Snow occurred at:Zone 8: Nulato Co-operative observer reported 9 inches of snow , ending at 9am on the 10th.Zone 3: Buckland ASOS reported 0.50 water equivalent of melted snow, which would likely be at least 6 inches of snow ending at 9am on the 10th.Blizzard condition occurred at: Zone 1: Barrow, Wainwright, Kuparuk, Deadhorse, Nuiqsut.
