Event narrative

A rancher north of Anchor Reservoir observed a brief tornado near Putney Flat in the Owl Creek drainage. The tornado remained over open country and did no damage.

Wider weather episode

Outflow from one thunderstorm merged with the leading edge of another thunderstorm over western Hot Springs County. This merger induced new updraft development and spawned a brief tornado over open country.
