Event narrative

Several Georgia newspapers reported that lightning struck and killed a 46-year old standing outside on the front porch of his home. The lightning bolt is believed to have traveled from a tall pine tree, approximately 10 feet away, through the ground, up through the man's body, and out his head. He was killed instantly.
