Event narrative

Heavy downpours, associated with local thunderstorms, were reported around the Anchorage Municipality. As much as .6" of rain fell in as short as 25 minutes, creating considerable ponding of water in low lying areas. Water was reported locally from 2' - 3' deep in a few areas of town...notably at the intersection of Boniface and Camelot.Power outages were also reported in downtown Anchorage and in Eagle River.
