The community of Winchester was hit with three to four minutes of nickel to quarter sized hail.

The wider storm

An upper level disturbance moving across Wyoming brought a round of severe weather to portions of central Wyoming. The storms formed over the higher during the late afternoon and strengthened as they moved east across the lower elevations. Several outflow boundary interactions intensified the storms. Hail of nickel to quarter size was common.
