Hail ranged from pea to quarter size.

A cold front crossed the region from the late morning through the afternoon hours of the 26th along with an upper level disturbance and cooling temperature aloft. Severe thunderstorms developed in advance of the front during the late morning and persisted through late afternoon. The severe thunderstorms produced large hail. A weak tornado was also reported near Ludlow in southeast Aroostook county.
