Event narrative

A small, quick moving, intense upper level disturbance generated heavy snow in the eastern San Juan mountains in Mineral county. Six to 10 inches of snow fell just southwest of Creede and up to 17 inches of snow piled up near and at the summit of Wolf Creek Pass.
