Two to five tenths of an inch of freezing rain occurred in the Juneau area.
Wider weather episode
As arctic air was being gradually eroded by a warm, maritime airmass, freezing rain developed in wind-sheltered valley locations in central Southeast Alaska. The freezing rain was light, and accumulations of two to six tenths of an inch were reported in 5 to 7 hours.
