A persistent band of moderate to heavy snow showers with a few embedded thunderstorms, developed around Estes Park, in the foothills and Larimer County. The band extended southeast into the cities of Boulder and Denver, then into the Strasburg and Deer Trail areas. Snowfall totals included: 8 inches at Jamestown, 7 inches at Boulder, 1 mile east of Buckhorn Mountain and Louisville, 6 inches at Allenspark, Broomfield, 3 miles northwest of Deer Trail, Horsetooth Reservoir, Hourglass Lake, Niwot, Pinewood Lake and Westminster, 5 inches at Eldorado Springs, Estes Park, Loveland, Nederland and 1 mile north of Strasburg.
