A rapidly developing low pressure system in the Northeast Pacific rolled up the outer coast of Southeast Alaska bringing strong winds to the southern Panhandle. Peak winds recorded during the event included 54 mph at the Hydaburg Seaplane Base, 63 mph in Craig, and 75 mph at the Ketchikan Harbor. A few large trees were downed in Craig.
